This policy explains how I collect and handle any information you give me under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) as well as the UK’s GDPR post-Brexit. You won’t find any complicated legal terms here — I’ve kept it as simple as possible.

I will only ever ask for the minimum information from you and I’m committed to keeping it safe. I will never use your personal or business information for any reason other than the one you gave it to me for, and I’ll never give anyone access to it unless required by law.

How I collect information

I ask for your contact information when you email me or book a call with me via Calendly so that I can reply to your enquiry.

‍

If you fill out my Brand Language Diagnostic Test (via Typeform), I ask for your name and email address so I can follow up on the results of the test.

‍

My newsletter sign-up asks for your email address, nothing more. I do not track opens or clicks on my newsletter out of respect for your privacy. I do not receive notifications of unsubscribes.

I don’t use website analytics. That means this website doesn’t use cookies or scripts that track browsing activity and I don’t use native social media ‘like’ or ‘sharing’ buttons which also build profiles of your internet use.

Occasionally, I might receive your contact information from one of my partners. If I do, I protect it in exactly the same way as if you give it to me directly.

How your information is held

‍

When you contact me through my website, I will collect your name and email address.

‍

If we work together:

‍

• I collect your name, email address, and business address.
• I keep copies of any contract(s) and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
• I keep records of the invoices I send you and the payments you make. I never have access to your bank details.

I keep copies of documents and any work I create on your behalf. Sensitive documents will be deleted upon request.

‍

Unless it remains relevant to ongoing work, I will delete information you send me after one year of our project finishing.

‍

Where your information is stored

‍

When you contact me by email or through my website, I store your information in Google Mail.

‍

If you do business with me, I store your information in Google Docs.

‍

What your information is used for

‍

Your information is used to facilitate our work together. I may occasionally send a personal email to tell you about new services or offers. To be excluded from these emails just let me know.

Who is responsible for your information

‍

I’m responsible for the security of your information. You can contact me by email at felicity@brandlanguagelab.com if you have any concerns about the information I store.

How I keep your information private

Where I store your information in third-party services, I am the only person with access.

‍

I store passwords securely. The devices I use are protected by a passcode or fingerprint access, which ask for authentication whenever they’re started or after 5 minutes of inactivity.
